HOW DOES ORGANIC BORAGE GROW?
Organic borage is a fairly common annual plant in Europe and very popular in cosmetology. It measures 20 to 60 cm high. It is covered with short, harsh hairs that make it firm to the touch.
Borage flowers from May to September. Organic Borage oil is obtained by pressing the seeds which contain a high content of omega- favorable in cases of hypercholesterolemia and more specifically in Gamma-Linolenic Fatty Acids whose revitalizing action on the skin is recognized. Our organic oil blends containing Borage oil are produced at an organic oil maker in the south of France using a natural cold pressing process without any chemical input.

THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF BORAGE OIL
Organic Borage oil is the oil richest in Gamma-linolenic Acid, 20 to 25% higher than Evening Primrose oil. Gamma-Linolenic Essential Fatty Acids are popular for their revitalizing properties and their calming action on skin rashes, dermatoses, eczemas, herpes or skin aging.
ORGANIC BORAGE OIL USED IN QUINTESENS OILS
Organic Borage oil has a rather strong taste. In our QuinteSens oils, we have chosen not to deodorize it because once mixed with other oils (and therefore diluted in proportion), its fragrance fades to give way to very pleasant fresh and floral notes. This is a high quality Organic Virgin Borage oil.
It is very difficult to find Organic French Borage oil all year round. We also select the best varieties in Europe (England, Netherlands and Germany).
